What a FUCKING Fourth of July weekend to spend celebrating Margaret and Marissa. As I pulled in the evening before the wedding, twinkling lights of the retreat center greeted me, along with friends and familiar faces among their guests. I'd brought along my camping gear to set up for the night, snuggled up between the various Subarus and SUVs, laughter and small fireplaces set up here and there - truly the mountain wedding vibes intended.

It's a really special thing when you're invited to take someone's wedding photos. But this isn't just getting all the pretty things and big check-off items. Time and time again, I'm always looking forward to the 'getting ready' hours - where your mom has put your aunts and cousins to work on preparing the utensils and centerpieces together (we'll give a shout out to Kim/Mama Mickelson for leading that mornings' efforts).
And you can tell that everyone is more than happy to get those tasks going and completed to make sure this wedding goes well and that's so fucking dope to watch - a hint of what combining families and friends will look for years to come.
